“I [would] like to share the experience I had with the law firm Gerber & Elkins. I had a very serious accident at work in mid-2018. I was receiving workman’s comp for over a year and had bilateral knee surgeries and stayed off work. After my therapy, I still was in a very bad shape and all of a sudden I received a letter from the doctor that the insurance company told him to close my case and he ended up sending a letter stating i had reached MMI (Maximum Medical Improvement) The insurance adjuster informed me that my weekly benefit has been stopped. I called for a refill of my pain medications and it was denied and I was told that my case is closed. I had nowhere to turn so I went on the internet and started searching for an attorney. I browsed through tens of them and eventually made up my mind and called Gerber & Elkins Law Firm which I never regret. In my conversation, I spoke with attorney Chris and he promised to fight my case and advised me not to worry and he’s with me all the way. I placed my confidence in them since day one. In a week he got with the Insurance Company after he had heard my explanation about my accident. He forced them to get me a second opinion doctor. All of a sudden the insurance people began to communicate again and my case was reopened. I got with the second opinion doctor and he ordered an X-ray and an MRI. My case was back in full swing. In two weeks Chris (my attorney) called me and said the insurance wants to settle my case. In the first mediation, they try to low-ball me but he refused their offer. He worked very hard to make sure I ended up with a very satisfying and reasonable settlement. My case was recently settled and I am very happy with everything that Gerber & Elkins did on my behalf.
