Depending on specific circumstances such as the severity of your injury, you may be entitled to receive the following benefits if you’re injured on the job:
- Medical benefits. Your employer’s workers’ comp insurance should cover any expenses regarding medical diagnosis and treatment of a job-related injury. Emergency room, hospital and doctors visit bills should all be covered, as should prescription drugs and travel expenses (to and from medical care).

About Snellville, Georgia
Snellville is a tight-knit community located in Gwinnett County, about 25 miles northeast of Atlanta and roughly 45 miles west of Athens. The city lies at the intersections of US Highway 78 and Georgia 124. While the city has around 20,000 residents today, it didn’t start out nearly that big. In fact, Snellville was practically a 1-man, 1-house kind of town when it was founded back in 1878.
It all started in 1874, when 2 friends from London, England were conspiring to voyage to the United States. James Sawyer and Thomas Snell plotted to leave England at age 17, but Snell’s parents intervened and wouldn’t allow him to go. Sawyer and his brother Charles went without Snell. A year later, Snell was able to join his friends and they all worked together on a farm in Madison County, Georgia.
Eventually, Snell established a homestead near Stone Mountain and called the settlement Snellville. The town slowly began to grow as more settlers put down roots in the area. Snell died in 1896, at the age of just 39 due to complications from an appendicitis operation.
Over the next 100 years, Snellville grew slowly but steadily, especially in the 1960s when people began to settle outside Atlanta. Today, more than 1,100 businesses call Snellville home, along with 14 churches. The town truly lives up to its slogan: “Everybody’s Somebody in Snellville.”
